{"id":16158,"date":"2026-03-30T13:42:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T13:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yngrdesign.co.uk\/?p=16158"},"modified":"2026-04-23T13:54:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T13:54:07","slug":"from-stables-to-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yngrdesign.co.uk\/?p=16158","title":{"rendered":"From Stables to Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our pioneering <a href=\"https:\/\/yngrdesign.co.uk\/?portfolio=hlc-low-carbon-phase-3\" title=\"\">low-carbon training centre<\/a> in Herefordshire has been shortlisted for two prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cemidlands.org\/awards\/west\/\" title=\"\">Constructing Excellence West Midlands<\/a> Awards, recognising its innovation in both sustainability and heritage regeneration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/yngrdesign.co.uk\/?portfolio=hlc-low-carbon-phase-3\" title=\"\">Low Carbon Technology Training Centre<\/a> at Holme Lacy has been named a finalist in the Sustainability Award and Regeneration &amp; Conservation Award categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project has transformed a series of Grade II Listed stable buildings into a state-of-the-art facility for teaching renewable energy and retrofit skills \u2014 while preserving their historic character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In doing so, the building has achieved a UK-first milestone, becoming the first Listed building to gain AECB CarbonLite Retrofit certification, a leading standard for low-energy buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cemidlands.org\/awards\/west\/\" title=\"\">Constructing Excellence West Midlands<\/a> Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held on 30th April 2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our pioneering low-carbon training centre in Herefordshire has been shortlisted for two prestigious Constructing Excellence West Midlands Awards, recognising its innovation in both sustainability and heritage regeneration.
