The Sunderland Aquatic Centre is the first 50m pool to achieve an excellent BREEAM rating and provides the following facilities for the north-east region:
– A 50m long by 25m wide 10 lanes main pool incorporating a moveable floor and traversable boom to allow maximum flexibility of use.
– A 25m wide multi-purpose diving tank with movable floor and a variety of diving boards (including platforms for synchronised diving).
– Seating for 500 spectators.
