Origins

YNGR Design was established in 2017 by Architect Clare Younger to address the need for accessible, high-quality design advice for domestic clients in and around Bath. The studio soon attracted commissions for its friendly and grounded approach to delivering sustainable residential conversions and extensions.

Evolution

Clare was initially assisted on a part-time basis by her husband Paul Younger, who has now taken over the running of the studio full time, diversifying into workplace and education design.

He brings his 25 years of industry experience as an award-winning ARB and RIBA registered architect to the projects YNGR undertake.

Experience

Paul has a double-first from Newcastle University and has worked for a number of high-profile practices over the years including FaulknerBrowns, MRP Ken Yeang International and the Red Box Design Group.

Most recently he was a founding member and senior associate of Hewitt Studios LLP in Bath, where their ‘seamless integration of sustainability and design’ led to them being named Sustainability Architect of the Year in 2014/15.
