Phase 2 of YNGR Design Ltd’s conversion of a listed stables block into a dedicated teaching facility for Low Carbon Technology on Herefordshire and Ludlow College’s Holme Lacy Campus is now complete.
The project follows hot on the heels of our fast-track Phase 1 project with an even higher level of environmental accreditation, including AECB Carbonlite Retrofit. We achieved a heating demand of just 50kWh/m2.yr, an air-tightness of better than 1.0m3/m2.hr and an overheating risk of less than 3%, with thermal bridges minimised and draughts designed out.
According to AECB, this is the first time the demanding new environmental standard has been awarded to a project with listed building approval.
